IFTTT

IFTTT is a free web-based service to create chains of simple conditional statements, called applets.  An applet is triggered by changes that occur within other web services such as Gmail, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram or Pintrest.  It links apps, web accounts, social media platforms, android and google services and more.  Using 'Applets' it can link two services from separate apps.

An example would be if you have a hands-free lighting system in your home, you can connect it to your Google Assistant or Siri and can verbally request that the lights be turned on upon your arrival.  This would be exceptionally helpful for anyone with a mobility issue and can improve the safety and visibility for getting around your home.  You can also link it to your GPS or Uber App so that your lights can turn on when you arrive home before ever entering your home.
